From a heartfelt TikTok trend blending nostalgia with humor to Bad Bunny making people swoon in Calvin Klein’s latest campaign, here’s what’s hot on socials this week.

When two worlds collide

This new TikTok trend is perfect for those who love a peek behind the scenes of the lives of people they follow.

With Adele’s Hometown Glory as the soundtrack, specifically the lyrics "When two worlds collide," the trend features users sharing a photo of their parents, followed by a picture of themselves, showcasing the result of their parents' love.

As with most TikTok trends, there have been some comedic twists, with couples sharing a photo of themselves followed by their pet, as if it were their offspring.

The original video sound has already been used in over 947.6K videos, proving just how popular this trend has become.

Bad Bunny x Calvin Klein

Bad Bunny is creating a lot of online buzz as the latest ambassador for Calvin Klein.

The brand released a sultry video on YouTube featuring the Puerto Rican singer in their signature underwear to the sound of his song Eoo. Fans and creators on social media have been responding with excitement, particularly to the launch video, by posting clips of themselves watching it with a smile on their face. These videos have the song from the ad playing on repeat suggesting they've been caught rewatching it over and over again.

While this trend is lighthearted, people might actually be watching the ad on repeat, as the video on Calvin Klein’s YouTube channel has already surpassed 200,000 views, outperforming the brand’s other recent uploads, which typically range between 10,000 and 100,000 views.

This partnership is proving to be a win for Bad Bunny, with streams of his song through the roof as well as fueling some highly entertaining social content.

She doesn’t know it yet…

This trend has themes of both reflection and looking toward the future. The best way to understand this content is to watch an example…

In creator entrepreneur Grace Beverley’s take on the trend, she posts a video of her younger self accompanied by the text “She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s about to launch a business that will go on to raise 10 million in funding, land a pop up in Selfridges and a store on Carnaby Street”. The trend is a way for people to reflect on their pinch-me moments in life.

Some more humorous and less deeply reflective takes on this trend include lots of #corporatehumor, like this creator who posted her take with the text “She doesn’t know it yet, but in a few minutes she will receive an email asking her to do something well within her job description, and it will ruin her morning”.
