Reflecting on the year is an amazing way to celebrate our triumphs, and 2023 was a huge year for Digital Voices! At the beginning of the year, we had 55 amazing people on the team, and we are proud to be ending the year with 80 of us across the globe.
Growing our superstar team has allowed us to achieve so much over the past 12 months, and we want to share some of those highlights with you…
Throughout 2023, we’ve produced over 100 incredible campaigns for world-class clients like LUSH, Universal Music, Lionsgate, and Ballantine's.
This campaign magic wouldn’t have been able to happen without the wonderful creators we partnered with – over 1500 in total! 12 of these inspiring creators featured on our podcast, 'Creator: Behind the Influence'. If you’re settling down with a mince pie and a hot chocolate, put the podcast playlist on and get acquainted with some of the industry's most creative minds.
We recently celebrated our anniversary with our longest-standing partner, Surfshark, marking 4 years of fun and innovation. This year has also marked the beginning of new long-term partnerships with the likes of DoorDash, Adobe, Zuru, and more.
We kicked off the year back in January with our Trends panel in London, setting the pace for an incredible year for Influencer Marketing success. We hosted 4 panel sessions in total at Soho House this year, inviting brands, creators, and platforms to chat with brand marketers about the industry's hottest topics.
We didn’t just spend time in London though! 2023 has been a year of globetrotting. From visiting Surfshark in Lithuania to the beaches of Miami for PI LIVE, not to mention hanging out in the DV apartment in New York, the growth in our team and roster of clients has allowed us to connect with brands all over the world!
Some of the team headed to VidCon LA in the Summer to connect with creators and soak up the energy of the creative marketing space. And of course, our first trip to Cannes was incredible and full of rosé. Perhaps we’ll see you there in 2024…
The Creator Voices team hosted their first creator masterclass for Black creators, setting the tone for more inclusive and empowering conversations within our community. And our CEO Jenny was able to tick multiple items off of her bucket list – she delivered a panel session at Web Summit in Lisbon with Iconicakes, spoke about how marketing shapes beauty for Ted X, and finished off the year flying high above the iconic NYC skyline with a DV branded helicopter with some of our US clients. Wow!
We haven’t just been winning clients, we’ve been winning awards too! We were nominated for 10 accolades and took home two trophies for work that we’re beyond proud of.
We took home the gold prize for Best Brand Engagement Campaign with Duolingo at the Influencer Marketing Awards and were victorious at The Drum Social Media Awards thanks to our #GoodToVote campaign with HeadCount that won in the Not-For-Profit, Charity and Government category.
The team loves to celebrate a win, and many messages of congratulations were shared across our 216 Slack channels (yes, really!). Our Chief Tech Officer, Trent, made us aware of this fact in one of our monthly all-hands meetings where each DV team takes a turn to run a game or quiz. We still find ways to have fun when working remotely!
The team and culture are a huge part of what makes Digital Voices a standout Influencer Marketing agency. And luckily we’ve had lots of opportunities to come together and welcome the new additions to the team!
We enjoyed 2 seasonal socials, a rainy summer scavenger hunt, where the US team traveled to London to enjoy the beautiful British weather, and to celebrate the holidays, we headed to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland..
Our US team spent some quality time at a retreat in Arizona at the beginning of the year, and we’re not sure what they enjoyed more, this once-in-a-lifetime trip, or the rounds of ‘baby Guiness’ consumed in London this summer.
So that’s 2023 in a nutshell – and what a year it’s been! As well as our campaigns and creativity; it's about the people we’ve connected with and welcomed to the team and the experiences we’ve enjoyed that have made this year the best one yet. And of course, a huge thank you to all of the amazing creators and clients we’ve had the pleasure of working with this year.
Now, what’s in store for 2024?
