With International Women’s Day approaching on March 8th, we’re celebrating 5 inspiring women who are making an impact in the Creator Economy
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is “Accelerate Action”, a call to drive real change in the workplace and beyond. In the Creator Economy, this looks like:
By continuing to provide opportunities, funding, and platforms for female entrepreneurs and creators, we can help shape an industry that empowers and provides equal opportunities for all genders.
These are just a few of the incredible women in the industry that deserve recognition:
Grace Beverley started as a fitness influencer while studying music at Oxford University. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to build an empire before even graduating.
She is the founder of the womenswear brand TALA, fitness tech company Shreddy, and personal organization brand The Productivity Method. She also co-founded AI startup Retrograde. Grace has raised over $14M in funding, making her a powerful force in female entrepreneurship.
A leading voice on funding for women, sustainable fashion, and media representation, Grace has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Bloomberg News, and Vogue Business. She was named first on Forbes 30 Under 30’s retail and e-commerce list at age 23.
Her book Working Hard, Hardly Working became a Sunday Times No. 1 Bestseller. With her podcast reaching over 100 million people and her flagship TALA store set to open on Carnaby Street this spring, Grace continues to show women that any goal is achievable.
We’ve been working on an exciting collaboration with Grace in partnership with one of our long-standing brand clients, more will be revealed on International Women’s Day…
Eni Awoyemi has worked in social media for over a decade, holding roles at Sky and Channel 4 before launching her brand, FeYi Flowers, in 2024.
FeYi Flowers gained instant traction when Eni shared her experience of brand identity theft on TikTok, a story that caught the attention of rapper Stormzy. He placed 100 orders, sending flowers to fans and promoting her brand to his 3.5M followers.
Brand identity theft is a regular issue that women, especially women of color, still face, but thanks to Eni’s video, the issue was reintroduced to the forefront of conversations. The exposure propelled FeYi to success, leading to partnerships with Blank Street and Reiss which thanks to Eni’s social media strategy knowledge, was able to proactively action.
With her social media expertise and unique branding, Eni has built a thriving business, proving the power of storytelling and digital influence.
