Women’s Equality Day 2023 - Meet our Inspiring US Team

Neve Fear-Smith
Neve Fear-Smith

Digital Voices is the only Influencer Marketing agency of 50+ employees in the UK with a woman as its current CEO and Founder.

And having recently achieved WEConnects Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certification, we will continue to shout about our success as a female-founded business from the rooftops.

With Women’s Equality Day taking place in the US this Saturday 26th August, there is no better time than now to shine a light on our growing team over in the States and learn more about what inspires the women on the team to strive for success both in their professional and personal lives.

Adrianna Yuelys, Senior Campaign Producer
What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of starting my own company at 20 years old and continuing to pursue my dreams.

What did you dream of doing when you were a child?

I always wanted to be a veterinarian growing up, and although it’s not what I ended up becoming. Helping animals is still something that I incorporate into my life by volunteering at an animal shelter.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Just because you're a strong woman, that doesn’t make you a rude person.

Chloe Ettinger, Account Director
What are you most proud of?

I wouldn’t be at Digital Voices if I hadn’t approached Jenny at an event I was organizing at my previous company… So, I’m proud of my self-confidence and sense of self-worth that I have built up over the years. I am also proud to have moved across the Atlantic a year ago without too many doubts!

What did you dream of doing when you were a child?

Both my parents started their own businesses, so from an early age I have been inspired by how hard-working they are and their accomplishments. Growing up I definitely wanted to follow in their footsteps (along with being an actor, like every other child).

Who are your favorite female change-makers in the industry?

After the weekend’s tough defeat, I’m going to have to say all the Lionesses!! They’ve made history and have definitely changed the sport for girls.

Emmy Petit, Account Manager
What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of pursuing my dreams and not settling for safe, even when it didn’t make the most sense.

What are some challenges or misconceptions you have come across as a female in business?

Being an assertive woman is often a challenge in business as it can be intimidating for others, but necessary to be taken seriously.

Name one woman you would love to have dinner with.

Michelle Obama. She is such a legend in my book. She’s a force to be reckoned with, diplomatic, and filled with insightful wisdom.

Jennifer Quigley-Jones, CEO

What makes a female-founded organization powerful?

In this industry, 77% of creators who monetize their content are women.
The majority of consumers making household purchasing decisions are women.
But the Influencer Marketing space is dominated by male-led agencies.
We can understand, appreciate and connect with both female consumers and content creators at a deeper level - getting the best from content and campaigns.

What are you most proud of?

Being ok with failing. It has taken a lot of practice and effort to forgive myself for my failures. Being able to see the lessons after failure - and be kind to myself and others - makes me a better manager, entrepreneur, and person.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Don’t accept criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from.

Madison Slicker, Campaign Coordinator
What makes a female-founded organization powerful?

I think there are few bonds more powerful than the bond between women and bringing that into a workplace where you’re all working and lifting each other up is always amazing to see.

What are you most proud of?

Despite all the challenges I’ve had in my life, I’m proud to be in the place I am now, mentally, emotionally, physically, all of it.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Have hobbies you don’t monetize. My parents told me this once and I always loved the idea of having and doing something just for yourself and for your enjoyment.

Priyanka Thattengat, Account Manager
What makes a female-founded organization powerful?

There is so much that can be said about this. Seeing women in positions of power allows others to dream bigger, hope for more, and feel emboldened to step into their own power. Women empower other women and working in an organization where this is engrained into the DNA is pretty special and still very rare.

What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of taking the leap and moving to NYC from Australia 5 years ago. I moved without a job, a place to live, or much of a plan but that risk was one of the best decisions I ever made. I’ve curated an amazing life for myself, meeting incredible people and working with inspiring people and brands.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

“You are responsible for your own happiness”. This thinking has guided me through much of my adult life. If I’m not making decisions that are guiding me to an overall level of happy life then what is the point?

Hearing from some of the wonderful women at Digital Voices about what inspires them, their dreams, and the advice that shapes their day-to-day life is a surefire way to remind yourself that being a woman is powerful, and being surrounded by powerful women is something to behold!
