10 Travel Influencers to Have on Your Radar

Vacation season is here! And gone are the days of visiting travel agents or endlessly searching on Google to plan your getaway.

Influencers and social media have become Gen Z and Millennials tour guides, and research shows travel is the UK's second most popular influencer category, behind only lifestyle.

In fact…

  • 11% of adults worldwide say they follow travel influencers when planning a trip.
  • 71% of European TikTok users intentionally search for travel content on TikTok.
  • 77% of users are inspired to visit a destination, or even purchase a travel-related product, after discovering it on the platform.
Why should your brand work with travel influencers?

Collaborating with influencers offers travel brands a unique edge over traditional marketing channels. Influencers are trusted by their followers, so their recommendations become personal endorsements that resonate more deeply than generic ads.

Their loyal followers actively interact with their content, generating buzz and visibility for travel brands. The visually captivating photos and videos influencers produce are particularly effective in showcasing destinations and inspiring an urge to travel.

Cost-effectiveness is another major benefit. Influencer partnerships can be more budget-friendly compared to traditional advertising. Additionally, influencers are skilled content creators, providing high-quality material that brands can repurpose across multiple channels.

Influencers are also compelling storytellers! Their narratives make travel experiences relatable and desirable in a way that often feels accessible to their audiences. The best travel content showcases the highs and the lows, allowing consumers to make better-informed decisions when planning their next trip. By aligning with trendsetting influencers, travel brands can tap into the latest cultural trends, appealing to younger, dynamic travelers.
